Emotional Freedom Technique - EFT

What is this Tapping Thing?

EFT is a powerful holistic technique that is simple, painless and easy to learn and use for yourself. It is an evidence based proven technique that helps to free the mind and body from trapped emotions.

EFT is based on the Eastern tradition of Chinese acupuncture and acupressure and our Western tradition of modern psychology. it is a technique that bridges the gap between East and West. - ( EFT is an emotional version of acupressure)

EFT involves tapping on acupressure points while focusing on a particular emotion, physical sensation or event. We tap as we focus to release negative emotions resulting from events in our past. Using EFT, a person is able to reduce the negative impact of memories and past events, thereby reducing physical and emotional pain. once the pain is reduced or removed, the body can often re balance itself.

The founder of EFT Gary Craig describes the essence of EFT  as "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system" ... Negative thoughts - creates energy disruption - creates the negative emotion...and the outcome of a prolonged way of thinking can in the end produce physical ailments within the body... it is all connected.

The Center of Disease Control  (The CDC) in America states that 85% of all disease has its roots in emotional issues.

Tapping while focusing on the issue at hand calms the nervous system within the body, rewires the brain and restores the body's natural energy system.

* And you don't have to believe in EFT for it to work.

A Personal story of mine.... The first experience I had with EFT was just after the 2015 floods in Dungog...a friend of ours did this weird thing she called EFT... and yep my first experience I thought "that was weird" and "how could tapping on points on the body help" ...but in hindsight it was brilliant.... I just didn't understand it at the next experience of EFT was earlier this year after a conversation with another EFT Practitioner - and I was hooked...that night I got online and found out all I could on EFT. I found a You Tube video by the creator of EFT Gary Craig and followed the steps... I worked on the anger that I knew was within me  and within 10 minutes it was gone... I'm not kidding you ...for over 2 years I had worked with a Psychologist to help me overcome the trauma I had experienced at the hands of a violent partner... I always left feeling better but I knew the anger that I had at myself was still inside of me and it was weighing hard on my physical and mental health... and within 10 minutes of tapping it was gone...I could feel it. I felt so much lighter, clearer and freer than I had done in years...Holy SH** I thought this is amazing...the next day I slept for 14 hours... it was like my body was finally able to fully relax and I had a lot of "make up" sleep to do... now I tap nearly everyday and have had some amazing things open up in my life... to the point that I am now an EFT Practitioner myself...

While this is my own personal story if you are requiring or currently working with a psychologist please don't stop. A lot of health care professionals now actually utilize EFT in their own practices. EFT is by no way to replace any medical treatments you may be currently undertaking.

Can I also suggest that if you have deep painful traumas, past hurts or events in your life that you may wish to address that you source out a qualified practitioner that can take you through the process as gently and as painlessly as possible.
